Gosh I feel like I've been given an ASBO!

excuse me Rochelle did you see the questions? I think not! I'm a grandmother and don't fill up the pages with filth that is not suited to all ages. I'm not saying I don't joke sometimes but not filth thankyou, so don't tell me I shouldn't be here!
The first question asked if we should liven the seniors page up and try to bridge the generation gap.Was that rude or abusive? and I had a 28 replies most of them positve. Then this after noon I asked, Had anyone bought anything they regretted today as I'd bought choccie muffins which I regretted as it was a moment on the lips and on inch on the hips! Just what was wrong with that.

Hi Sylvia, I like your contributions to the Seniors Page and your invitation to make it better!

I don't understand the violations either, and when other answers say it may be a stalker, what does that mean......someone jealous of you maybe, who knows.....anyway always enjoy what you ask and answer. I really like it when you respond to certain answerers whether it be positive or negative.

Perhaps you can give us a hint about what the questions were about in the additional details section that is below your original question.

My theory is that if enough people flag your question as a violation for any reason, it's automatically removed.

I had an answer removed and challenged it but never heard back from yahoo.

Updating my answer based upon your updating your question and the content of your questions.

The only possible reason I can see that one of your questions were removed is "g" of the general terms of service. And, that's really, really going out on a limb.

"G" says you can't advertize. In one question you mentioned a name-brand product. Now, it's quite possible, as a personal theory, that just because you mentioned a name-brand product that it was automatically flagged and deleted.

If we look at Answers, there has to be thousands and thousands of questions asked each day and of these, there are probably several thousand that are flagged either automatically or by individuals. They say each question that's flagged is handled by a real person, but I doubt that they will spend more than a second or two on each question and probably just hit the delete button.

Yahoo has been loosing market share and their profits have pretty much been cut in half. Next quarter, they may even be in the red. So, how many of these "real" people do they hire to look at these flagged questions? And, are they from some country that doesn't speak English but get paid about 1 penny a day?

Another theory, possibly you're being stalked. Maybe someone asked a question and you made an answer that they didn't like, agree with or felt wasn't what they were looking for. In that case, they could follow you and flag every question or answer that you make for abuse. If I'm right that it's mainly an automated system that goes unmonitored, they could flag your question or answer for abuse for anything and the worst they could get would be banned and then just come back as someone else.

There's a guy named Aziz who has a number after his name. He pretends to be Pakistani and asks racially motived questions and gets banned. Each time he gets banned, he comes back with a higher number, last time I saw one of his questions he was up to 12 or 14. So, that may be part of the problem.

I've seen some pretty rauchy questions and no one got rid of those, so why pick on you?

I don't get this violation thing. I believe that if anyone complains it is removed.

One "asker" asked several very bizarre questions, then asked "what kind of diagnoses would a shrink give me?" I answered that based on his other questions I would hate to hear what diagnoses a shrink would give him. That is ALL I said. I received a violation. I am assuming that he reported me. I am also assuming that it was never read by anyone with Yahoo Answers since I emailed for an explanation and was never given one.

I did not read your questions, but go ahead and do what I did, put it in the category of "who cares." Like you though, I was wondering what would happen if some had a vendetta and "reported" every answer I gave.

Have a good day. Don't change your earrings; I like them. LOL

The Yahoo ghosts are a very stern crowd these days.

I told you that it was just screwy, didn't I Sylvia?

I still have those 5 best answers that they aren't giving me credit for--all voted by the asker, so there is no excuse for it!

Maybe you now have your very own stalker as someone else intimated?

I did go in to answer one of your previous questions, and the information page popped up telling me that the question had expired because it "ran out of time". It was 12 minutes old then.

I'm so very sorry that this is happening to a cool person such as yourself, and if I could somehow give you some of my own points in recompense, I would.

HHMMM, You naughty older person you. LOL, don't worry about it, it happens to us all from time to time. Ive just found this page, think I'll start to visit. For the regulars I am a 57 year old grandmother who lives with 3 Old English Sheepdogs who are my babies and my life. I had to retire early as I need to have 2 knee replacements and I could hardly walk. Had the first one done 7 weeks ago and just starting to think it was a good idea after all and now desperate to get the next one done so I can get my life back.

Was it a question regarding the McCanns ? I answered one yesterday or maybe the day before, looked into my profile to check for the thumbs down and the question had disappeared,
was quite surprised as I thought it was quite a reasonable question.
Maybe someone is stalking you, don't take it to heart if you get another violation notice ask if it is the same person complaining.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about the points system here. We all have earned better points in life then to worry about these.
Yes! I too agree that a youngster is most likely the one doing it, they do seem to enjoy getting folks wired up now and then.
Please keep asking questions and we all will continue to answer them.

I think people hit the 'report abuse' button because they are eating something oozy like a piece of buttery toast and they meant to hit the thumbs up button but their digit slipped.
Anyway a ticking off at our age is quite cool don't you think?

On Yahoo answers you can say whatever you like as long as nobody disagrees with you. The Yahoo rules (assuming you have 300 years to spare reading them) specificaly forbid everything.
