You can ask but chances are you will get nothing.

Lets be honest here, if you really had bed bugs you didn't sleep in that bed. You would have done the same thing anyone else would have, changed rooms or hotels. Fact is bed bugs are very, very small and hard to see. They also don't like to come out in the light. Nasty little buggers, but they don't harm you only eat your dead skin.

If you really think you have a case, contact the hotel and ask for a refund. Do it in writing and to the manager. If that doesn't work, then contact the hotel chain itself. Outside of that, I wouldn't hold your breath as you have no proof it really happened.

Your chances would have been better if you complained while you were there. After the fact it will be a lot harder for them to do anything for you at the hotel level.

One thing you can do if this is a major chain is to go to the company web site and search for the corporate address. Send them a letter(nicely worded) about your issues. They will respond, and may offer some reimbursement. You should not expect a refund, but they might give you credit for a future nights stay at one of the hotels.

I have not had to do this with hotels, but with other companies. I have seen that in most cases the corporate level was more willing to help and keep you as a satisifed customer.
