30 Billion for aids program and trying to help suffering of refugees in Darfur...WHY NOW? Dont get me wrong by all means it is great. BUt when politicians do a complete 360 like this you have to wonder WHATS ON THEIR MIND. For 6 years it has been IRAQ IRAQ but now with his last 22 months in Office Its AFRica Africa. Is he doing it to win more votes for the next Republican President? We all know politicains will finally start to do the right thing towards the end of their election to build up enough votes next round as if we didn't know that for the first 3/4 of their election they did nothing.
Did they just find more OIL in Algeria then in all of Egypt and north of its border

There are countries much more in need of aid than the US
people say why are the US being criminalised
I'll tell you why
There are people living in countries where they may not get fed for days and people are just dropping like flies. Meanwhile people in countries like the US and the UK pig out and eat more than they need.
Its also our fault that the people in these conutries are like they are. Have you never stopped to think and question how we could be so rich and those countries so poor
its because we stole what is and was there's and made profit which we exploited. The Americans were the worst. Come on they are the richest country in the world, they must have done the most damage. Its only now that we start to look back at what our ancsetors and turn around and appologise and give the help that these countries need

The second answer is a prime example of why the US is shown in its light. That person thinking of themselves first above countries where aid is so desperately needed. This is the sort of person i can't stand. This is why I go out of my way just to do things to help countries in need. I've signed many pledges, given many donations, written many letters. All because I just stopped and thought and decided to make a difference

Bush has already earmarked funds for AIDS. What he wants to do is increase this $30 billion to help people. He seems to really want to help with this problem of the world.
I would propose a different solution which would involve the top AIDS researchers of the world to verify that a simple solution could work against the virus. This simple solution would be to slow the immune response after reducing viral load. Top AIDS researchers could do this with a combination of alcohol and peppermint oil lozenges in a study that would show results in less than a month. Of course, I would only involve adults in this study. After results are verified I would recommend the $30 billion be put to use to help people in the United States of America who do not have health insurance.
I'm sure the people at the top of the drug companies would do their part to help the children of the world by donating drugs.
I'm sure the top AIDS researchers of the world would agree that by a consistency of reducing viral load combined with a slowing down of the immune response a cure for AIDS would be in sight by introducing a vaccine to stimulate an immune response.

Blessed finally we agree on something. Africa has the highest Aids rate in the world. If we can help out on this we should, hopefully it can result in fewer less carriers coming to the U.S. and educate more people in Africa, on this deadly disease.

For momblessed-

George W. a kind heart? This guy has absolutely no empathy for any other human being, he is a classic sociopath.
He can only speak clearly and succinctly when talking about revenge and war, whenever he talks about human beings and their problems, he mucks it up.
He has no frame of reference, he has never suffered or has known anyone who has suffered.
He can only relate to the wealthy and priviledged.

P.S. There is no oil in Egypt

Does it ever occur to anyone that maybe just maybe Bush has a kind heart for those that do not live in a country like ours with so many oppurtunities. We have many resources to prevent and control Aids here. We have been educated on how it can be contracted yet people want to be stupid. Other countries do not have the oppurtunities America has. When did people become so selfish and greedy to think it is a bad thing to help those in need, this country or any other. Good Grief!!!!

Although it is nice that they are giving that money for aids programs, that money would be better spent helping people in our own country first. I don't understand why so many people are against the US when we give billions to other countries because their own government doesn't give a ****. for their own people. We have children living on the street because their parents lost jobs, homes, etc. Why can't we provide for our own people as well as we seem to provide for other countries???!!
