Why not fight all those things at once.. I think the main question you should be asking is why aren't we fighting all those issues at once. If Vick is guilty I hope he gets all that is coming to him and if not, he is due an apology...........

What? Obviously u don't have any pets. Do those rapist, murderers and homeless people have their face in the news every day and a role model for young children. And also getting paid millions of dollars for the opportunity of a lifetime to play a professional sport, which the ignorant N***** just turns around and puts it on mans best friend. Its not just the about dogs. Plus murders and rapes happen every few seconds in the world, its sad but its true. How about get this this thug out of football so they can pay another superstar big bucks that will put it towards society and something good like Warrick Dunn. That would be a good role model for Vick , considering their 2 ft. from each other on the field.

What a moron you are dude. Did you know most serial killers, rapists, etc start out on animals? They eventually work their way up to humans. The police investigate all crimes, they dont let the rape and murder cases go to the wayside because a case like this comes along. The only difference is the media coverage because he is famous. As far as the child molesters....isnt that the norm in your backwards state? WTF does the homeless guy have to do with anything? The Dept of Social Services budget has nothing to do with law enforcement. No matter how much the police spend on an investigation, it wont effect whether the homeless guy eats or not. This doesnt factor in the charities that feed the homeless either. Your ignorance shows, go away and leave the adults alone.

Well, your statistical assertions are way off. VA's murder rate per capita isn't even in the top 10. I agree with your claims about the relative gravity of the situation, but must say that in Surry Co., VA they don't really have many problems that are bigger. Pursuing the case aggressively is understandable. However, as for the DA, there are several racial overtones in this case that have been glazed over by the media, namely that this is a majority black county with a black Commonwealth's Attorney who has been raked across the coles by outside commentators over his supposed inaction in prosecuting Vick. I would think that people would reserve judgment on whether there's enough evidence to pursue the case for the man elected to make that judgment. However, white people from outside the county have been exerting considerable pressure on him to step up his prosecution, possibly damaging the strength of the case he was trying to make.

I agree with you to a certain extent. These days more headlines are about dog fighting and the only reason why is because of mike vick. That being said murder rape and other crimes are on the rise and you really dont hear much about it unless a high-caliber person is involved but law enforcement are still doing their best to take care of these cases.Dog fighting has been around for a while and it is sad it's finally seeing the light of day thanks to a scum like mike vick so hopefully this will open people eyes about this brutal treatment of animals.

Kristen, this is a football forum. There is no need to bash republicans. Dog fighting is just as disgusting as rape and murder. All of those crimes should be getting the necessary attention. Michael Vick is setting a terrible example for children, especially since he is one of the faces of the NFL. Vick sounds like a real sicko if he is betting large sums of money to watch dogs savagely attack each other. Hopefully Virginia has enough resources to prosecute Vick and stop sexual abusers and murderers.

Animal cruelty is the issue and it is a felony. One or both dogs is killed during the fight where people bet on the "winner". That doesn't lessen murder or rape; it is just plain wrong. Most people who abuse animals also abuse (rape and murder are among those) children and other people. I know that this case is in the news because of Vick, but cruelty to defenseless animals is a felony and they should spend time to shut it down and punish those involved.

You know, dog fighting is bad, and Vick should be puinished greatly for this crime, look at a question lower than me, something about something just in about Mike Vick and dog fighting being seen in a dog fighting ring, and you'll see my viewpoints on that also...I think people just want him out, and trying to prove that even celebrities are also punished, but anways, back to your question.
First about the homeless guy, he needs to get a job. Anyone can get a job. Homeless people are more or less your pity party people, they can do anything like the rest of us people working our butt's off for our lives, and then a guy begs for money, get a job, and you won't have that problem. Sorry, just my opinion. Now for the real part of your question.
I hate rape, and murder. I believe in the death penalty and agree with you. Yes, they need to convict Vick, but they also need to worry more about the real world, Vick's caught, htye just need to put his **** in jail. I'm tired of seeing headlines involving rape, and murder. Some little 8 year old girl being raped by this perv, and then he kills her. Pisses me off, and I believe in the death penalty when this happens. Yes, I'm Texan, and we believe in justice, we do not stand for this crap, you will die if you do something like this, I don't care how old you are, you SHOULD NOT RAPE, or MURDER!!! I agree with you 100%. I pisses me off to see this crap happen, it's not right, and if you get caught, I think you should be punished greatly for this crime. Anyone reading this may think that there's something wrong with me, and think that the death penalty is wrong, and I need to have a psyciatrist, no, you're wrong. Think about this before you acuse me of being an evil person believing in the death penalty. What if it's YOUR kid, YOUR wife being RAPED, then MURDERED!!! How do you want that guy punished? Would you want revenge? Think about it next time.

So you're saying that if someone broke into your house and stole your TV and computer, the police shouldn't investigate it because no murder occurred, so it's not serious enough to bother with?
The press are obviously having a field day with it because it's a celebrity caught doing something bad, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken seriously.

As much as humans whinge in regards to the inhuman acts athletes commit, they worship them and love the killer mentality. If on PPV there have been actual dying fits they'd promote like sizzling cakes. Human nature is not so great or heat and cuddly. We adore our puppies and we devour the last of species as good as use them for rug. No longer a lot difference because the Nazis utilising human skin for lamp colours. We're what we are. We wish to consider of ourselfs as some thing better.
