I ran a red light after first stopping at the red light. I thought the it turned green and I went only to notice it was still red. Instead of backing up I kept going. Now I have this photo of me running the light and a bail amount of $381. HELP!

Go to court and ask for a reduction of the fee. They almost always grant it. But you're not going to get out of it.

Also, the paying a little bit extra thing doesn't work. Snopes covered it.

Pay the bail, and show up to court. If they "proceed" which they usually don't if a real cop pulled you over, tell them you let a valet park your car during that time or some other excuse. Usually without a photo they just can't proceed, but you'll probably have to do some 'splaining

If they have a picture of your license plates there is not much you can do. Of course you can try to contest it, but what exactly would you say? It shows clearly that you ran the light, so I would just go ahead and pay the fine before they start charging you penalties.

A picture is worth a thousand words, there is no way out of that kind of ticket, sorry about your luck. Pay more attention to what you are doing next time, someone could have got killed from your daydreaming, and it would have probably been you and whom ever may have been with you, it happens everyday somewhere.

Be grown up about and pay up.
There maybe a intervention course you can take to have the points removed. Go to your state web site and see about it (or look in your states Drivers Handbook).

Hi ,
If that has happened far away from your home town , you can try to tell them , you were lost , or ( late at night ) you were feeling unsafe in an unknown area .
Try to sound as genuine as possible , it should work .

You can't beat the tickets when a photo has been taken.

Sorry but there is no way out. Pay the ticket.

This won't get you out of paying, but out of having it on your record, supposedly. I've read that if you pay more than you owe and never go to get your refund you will be left in an "unresolved" status and it will not go on your record.
