When I get off work at 2, I know I'm going to be pretty hungry, but will also be eating an earlier dinner. I want something pretty healthy to grab on my way to summer school, but not too expensive because i AM a poor college student! Any good suggestions on something yummy??

Fixing food for one is difficult. I would suggest making lunches for all week at one time. After you do your grocery shopping make sandwiches and treats and put them in a refrigerator. Fruit and vegetables are easier to buy in quantities bigger than a handful of carrot sticks or a single piece of fruit. You might also look for fresh meat and cheese sliced to your preferences. Making cookies or cake or jello can be a hassle, but you should find time once a week to fix something you really like. Breaded chicken or fish can also be kept for several days if stored correctly.

If you eat out for some meals, consider ordering large and saving the leftovers.

Have no clue where you live or work or what's nearby. I'd suggest a deli or grocery where you could get a wedge of cheese, a roll and a fresh fruit salad cup.

How about a salad from a fast food restaurant with a drive thru? McDonald's has this fruit & yogurt snack that is good and I think it is under $2.00.

the cheapest way to go is to invest in a lunch bag that will keep things cold and then buy your own and pack it.

its the ony way to be truly sure that its healthy.
stock up on veggies and fruits that you can take with you.

some options:

- turkey sub at subway (assuming that there is one near you) with lots of lettuce, tomato, etc and no sauce.
- lots of healthy foods at whole foods and trader joes
- pack your own lunch from now on.
