is he too old for the rubber band method, do i need to have the vet surgicly do it.

As long as you can still fit the band over the testicles, the goat is young enough to band. Usually you can still band up until 10 - 12 weeks approximately. He may have more discomfort from banding than a younger goat would, but he will be fine as soon as the numbness sets in. If his testicles are too large for the band, you will need to contact a vet to surgically remove them.

you can go to your local feed store and they will have something like the rubber band..not sure what its called but my friend just did his cow and a goat that way..and they fell off and there both fine..i wouldn't do that for i think that is very painfull but hey if you want to that's your choice
