My fiance is in a correctional facility and we're having trouble getting our marriage license in our county where we live. he only has 3 months to go, the county where we live in says he has to be with me to get it, I heard I can get a statewide marriage license in Indianapolis, IN. Does anyone have any answers??? Thanks

Wow you are desperate aren't you? Talk about setting your self up for heartache. You will be back here tell us how miserable you are, how he beats you and cheats on you soon enough.
If he is getting out in three months, just wait till then. No need to rush into a marriage with a loser.

Doesn't matter where you go, you will still need him to be with you in order to get the marriage license. This is actually a form of security, ensuring that both parties are willing to get the marriage license. There are some states that will allow you to order them online, but you both still have to be present to pick it up.

You can get married without him being there and skip all the prison crap they put you through to get married so even if hes transfered it wont matter.. go to that site look through the forums look for proxy weddings... lots of info and ppl to help you...
