I think gang bangers, like many others, need to find Jesus and get saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. Have you heard of Nicky Cruz?

Well since you have a productive life and are branching out to society, the social people you identify with can also be considered other things. It is not necessary to label yourself a gang banger (because of the negative connotation). You can call yourself a community group, an interest group, life-long friends, etc. While I don't doubt that you are an upstanding citizen, it is not necessary to tell everyone that you are a gang member. For example, if I was into bestiality, I wouldn't put it in my signature stamp or tell everyone I meet.

People that join gangs are plain and simple losers and cowards that are not able to face anything nor anyone alone without having to turn to intimidation.
