Simply put, the metal used to make the trailer (steel) was dipped in another type of metal (zinc). This 'dip' coats the steel in a thin layer of zinc which keeps the steel from rusting. It works good and although not as pretty as a painted trailer it will last much longer.

The Bear Facts should check just that, the bear facts. Very enviromentally friendly to coat a trailer in lead, I don't think. The others were right, zinc dipped.

It means the steel is coated with zinc applied in an electrogalvanizing or dipping process. To resist corrosion.

Steel coated in a zinc plating which should prevent rusting. Realistically it won't stop it, but it'll at least slow it down.
