In order of priority:

1. Upgrade Video Card - For most modern games, 256MB, current generation (ATI x1900 or Nvidia 7900/8800 series) would be ideal. You can get away with less, though.

2. Upgrade RAM - 2GB helps a lot nowadays.

3. Upgrade CPU - 3 GHz HT P4 should be fine for most games at this time.

Pentium is not the greatest for gaming, but what you have will do.

The board doesn't really matter, since all MoBos can be in gaming computers.

For most games on the market, 512Mb is the "safe" minimum, so having 1Gb is good. However, if you're running Vista...double it (2Gb).

Rearder=Reader?
A DVD-Rom or CD-Rom a a good thing. Most games come on CDs, but the market is starting to switch over...especially on some of the newer games.

If what you have listed is all you have...a Graphics Card is a must (ATI's 1600XT or Pro or the 1950XTX is good). Try to buy the 512Mb card, it costs more, but the additional memory on the card does speed things up. Depending on the game, ATI tends to be a slightly to hands-down better card. Although I freely admit that there are games where the equivalent nVidia card is better...

What video card do you have? You might want to upgrade it at least.
