Kangchenjunga (Main) is the highest himalayan mountain peak in India. Elevation: 8,586 m or 28,169 ft.

Kangchenjunga is World's 3rd highest and highest in India (Sikkim). It contains five peaks. Three of these five peaks (main, central, and south) are on the border of North Sikkim district of Sikkim, India and Taplejung District of Nepal, while the other two are completely in Taplejung District.

Kangchenjunga Main: 8,586m or 28,169 ft
Kangchenjunga West (Yalung Kang): 8,505m or 27,904 ft
Kangchenjunga Central (Middle): 8,482m or 27,828 ft
Kangchenjunga South: 8,494m or 27,867 ft
Kangbachen: 7,903m or 25,925 ft.


Although Mt. Everest is highest in the world, it is not located in India. It is located in Nepal. Elevation of Mt. Everest: 8,850 m or 29,028 ft.

Second largest peak in the world is K2 (Chogo Gangri), located on border between Pakistan-administered Northern Areas and Xinjiang, China. Elevation: 8,611 m or 28,251 ft.

Mount Everest is the highest peak of Himalaya,which is located in Nepal/Tibet with the height of 29,035 Feet
(8,850 Metres).

However, the h9ighest peak of Himalaya in India is Kanchenjunga with the height of 28169 Ft( 8596 Metres).
