I bought something from ebay, and it wasn't what I expected. The seller said he would return it to me after I left him + feedback since the item was as described, arrived in a timely manner, etc. So I did that and he sent me a return # which I'm supposed to write on or in the box, and then send the item back to him, and when he gets it he'll refund my $$. Does this sound legit? How am I to know he's going to refund my money? Should I just keep all of the emails I've received from him through ebay and get a tracking # on the package so I have proof I sent it? Thanks!

yeah keep the emails and be sure to get a receipt and the post office and keep that too. it will probably get credited into the account you use on paypal.

Get tracking --- usually for ebay people don't do returns- so, if he is really doing it -- i'm surprised.
with ebay- either way- you are taking a chance, do you want to chance it or not - is it something you wouldn't use either way? you will be out the shipping it costs to ship it back-- how much is this item going for on ebay- are you better off just relisting it -- and then the buyer paying the shipping charge - insteaad of you?? If you decide to send it back--definately check his feedback-- how many- is it positive-- if it is a high rating- and he looks honest though that- maybe I would do that...
I would send it back the cheapest way possible-but, include tracking.
If paypal is what you used for the transaction- you can complain to them if you don't get it back- to get your money back.

first file a report with e-bay that the Item was not as described.that way he can't say you did not send the item.
2nd when mailing have insurance put on the package for the value of the item plus signed confirmation they recieved it.
3rd if you used paypal contact them to let them know you have a problem with the item .
he wanted you to leave good feedback so you had no return of the item by saying it was recieved as described. if you did this you may be out of luck. by saying this you said it was acceptable at the time of recieving it.
so legally you don't have a leg to stand on.
And YES keep all your e-mails with them also e-bay has copies of the mail if the conve took place thru e-bay messenger.

Yes, keep the emails and get a tracking number. If it is a power seller or a store, this is probably legit. Keep a record of everything just in case.

If all this became into pronounced on the object description then confident she will, if it wasn't then no she cant, and you're able to desire to touch ebay. If it says on the define you are able to return the object, then digital mail the seller and tell them your returning the object and as quickly because it is been won you need your money returned... save info of posting nevertheless. Please remember once you come back a merchandise you will not get the postage money returned. good good fortune xx

Keep track of all your emails from the transaction, and if he doesn't refund your money contact ebay or paypal (if you paid through paypal)

if you payed using paypal, you can file a claim if he doesn't live up to his end of the transaction.
You can also file a claim through ebay as well.

if he has good feedback, let him have the chance to make good. give him 30 days though.
