I have PCOS, been infertile for 8 years. Irregular, average 1 cycle a year, usually medically induced. I went to LA, after being there for 12 hours, Aunt Flo came. Went home the next day, back to NC, and immediately STOPPED. My cycles are normally 4-5 day long, so this was very different than normal.

How could changing states or flying affect my cycle? Isn't this really strange?!

No, not on Metphormin atm. I have been before and just don't like it. I'm not currently on anything for my PCOS, just dieting and exercising in an attempt to regulate my hormones.

I'm sure it's all coincidence or something, but it's odd. I'm 32 and have never, EVER had it stop and start like faucet. I've always reved up and then winded down (most girls will know what I mean). This was FULL ON, then immediately FULL OFF.

First off, i am sorry to hear about your infertility, that is a very hard thing to take. Anyway, many things can effect your period - stress, not eating, etc. But you not ever having a normal period wouldn't be familiar with how strange a period can be. i am sure you have a doctor cuz of your PCOS so just mention it when you see em, sure its fine tho. I did watch something on Oprah about how this one woman couldn't poop anywhere except home, her body just wouldn't poop and Dr. Oz said some people are like that, so maybe your body only likes to have a period when you are not home! Ha, ha! Take care of yourself

Your cycling... (and no, not a girl, but been around, and been with 5 women through birthing.. so I'm not a fool.... Is a bit crazy, and you may never understand it. However, A longer cycle could just mean iron is up, so healthier.. It could be that you just got your cycle regulated, and now it's getting messed up again. Best of luck, take care, and talk to your doctor. -Rick

Flying & changing states won't affect your PCOS, this is an autoimmune disease, it was just a fluke that you got Aunt Flo, probably stress induced.

I do not have any real answer for you just an assumption. Could it be barometric pressure or something of that nature. That is really interesting and makes me wonder why this would happen.
