Weigh out the facts and figure out how substantial of a loss in your life you are going to be taking and weigh out if your loss is worth their gain. If your friend needs you to help move something instead of going to buy a video game help your friend. If your friend wants to hang out and play video games but you are going to a funeral I'm pretty sure you should go to the funeral. Its just a matter of priority in both lives

There is a theory that one can never help any other person! when you think you are helping some one, you are actually helping yourself to grow a bit more, helping yourself to discover some more of your own potential, using that potential to create more potential in yourself! You help, you are being helped: like, you give, you are actually receiving! The more you give, the more you receive: same way, the more you help (the way we think), the more help you receive! In every situation, your instinct will guide you correctly, if your reflexes (instinct) are developed well through good living, good thoughts, good company, time well-spent! Rules are a summary of all that, in a civilised society, so, rules will only help you to help one another! In sum, there is never any loss to the one that helps! (helps truly and sincerely!)

I have helped others at a loss to myself. I do weigh the cost carefully, though. I think that if the risks are too high, or if harm would come to my family, then no, I would not help others. But I've lent money to people and at the time I knew they wouldn't pay it back. Oh well, it's just money and they needed it at the time.

It depends on situation, if the loss is very less in comparison to value of relief or help and also the interest of nation or sociaty does not affect. Then only the help to others could be possible.

We must always extend a helping hand towards all, if we want some one to help us also. It should be give and take policy but it should not be like, "You give I take". IT MUST BE BOTH WAY TRAFFIC...

We not only are interdependent and interconnected, we are inseparable. What I allow to happen to another happens to me.
