Outlook Express, yes. But, I would not get rid of Internet Explorer. There are some sites that will only work with IE...it's good to keep it installed just in case.

Don't delete IE (i am not sure you can, anyway)
I am a dedicated Firefox user, but you will find one or two sites which require IE - so it is a good idea to keep as a backup... there is not problem having them both, in fact you can even run both at the same time (I've had to do that once or twice for testing purposes at work)

you can remove Outlook.

You can't actually really delete IE it is integrated into the Operating System... and you need it for Windows Update. Go ahead and remove Outlook Express though.

don't delete internet explorer... (i'm not even sure you can) as it is a service that runs on your PC... for example some small programs use it to output HTML in the program...

get rid of outlook express if you like (goto control panel >> add remove programs >> windows components and remove it from the list)

also... make sure you transport emails before you get rid of outlook as you need to have both installed to do this...

I would not delete it. Theres nothing wrong to have a "back up" for your internet needs. What happens when Firefox has a problem and you are throwing a fit cause you cant get the net.

It is unwise to delete IE because some financial institutions etc. insist on you using IE. My bank won't let me in if I'm using Firefox - I get a message saying I must be using IE6 or later to interact with my account on line

I don't see why it wouldn't be "safe" but there are still plenty of sites that don't open/run on Mozilla yet so you should keep IE as a backup.
