Depends on how long its been yellow. If I didn't see it turn then I tend to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it just turned. I run alot more yellow lights than I stop for.

Depends on how fast/close the person behind me is. Also some red lights have a camera that takes a picture of the vehicle if it runs a red light. I tend to be very cautious around those.

That depends on how close I am to the light. If I don't have enough time to stop without slamming on my brakes, then I go right on through. It also depends on how many cars are behind me and if there is a cop within visible range.

Yellow means FLOOR IT because it's gonna turn red.
Really, it depends on how close you are to the intersection.
You should be going slow enough to stop if you had to.

I observe the light BEFORE IT CHANGES. I know approximately how long I have before it changes from green to yellow and yellow to red. If it has just changed to yellow, I speed up. If it has been more than two seconds (count 1,001-1,002), I stop.

That depends on how close I am to it when it changes. Close enough to make it through before it changes red, I speed up and go through. If I am more than a few car lengths away when it changes I stop.

I slow down and then stop. By which time the light would've turned red. It's something I observe diligently since having kids.

It depends. If I am going too fast to stop safely I get thru as fast as I can. If I can stop safely, I do. Stopping too fast is not safe, either, you can get rear ended or lurch to a stop and anything loose in the car flies around. Let common sense be your guide. I favor caution.

I am in law enforcement and as long as you make it without speeding up, its ok to go through. But, if you have time to stop, you are supposed to do it. It is illegal to speed up to make it through the light before it changes. If it changes to red while any part of your vehicle is in the intersection, you could recieve a citation.
