you know how after growth plates fuse, you can't grow anymore, right? is there any research going on that try to unfuse the growth plates? I know it's not out yet, but could someone give me any links to any researches going on?

As far as I'm aware, the answer is no. The closest thing that I can think of are studies that examine the effect of hormones on the growth plate. For example, estrogen closes off the growth plate quicker than testosterone, which is one reason why females may be slightly shorter than males on average. So, altering hormone levels may affect how long the growth plate remains open. But as far as opening a growth plate that's already been fused? Nope.

I'm not sure but I do know there are some painful, complicated leg and arm lengthening procedures for those who have dwarfism or other conditions that cause short stature.
