The old addage says "you have to spend money to make money". NONE of the scams out there that say you don't have to use any of your money to make millions in real estate are true. First of all, their programs are usually somewhat expensive, so BAM, some of your money out the door.

If you want to play the real estate game (it's a good game, scary and fun at the same time), I would recommend calling your local tax office and ask them when the home tax sales / auctions are going to happen. Set aside a firm amount you are willing to spend or approved to borrow (make sure you're pre-approved) and try to find a low-end house that doesn't need too much work. Do the work yourself and then put it on the market.

Of course, you need to have some knowledge about homes (foundations, structural, etc) or you could possible wind up with a money pit.

Good luck.

Frankly, ALL of those real estate "make money" courses don't do much at all for anyone other than the folks selling the course. There is NO national program which will tell you what you need to know to make real estate profit in YOUR market.

Save your investment in such courses and start studying your local real estate market, taking note of property sales values in various areas.

And DO remember that "buying a property for pennies on the dollar" can just as easily mean 99 cents to the dollar as it can mean ten cents to the dollar. You will find the former ratio to be much more common than the latter....

Good luck !

Don't waste your money on those. Most of them are overpriced and not worth the money. There is another method of learning real estate investing called birddogging. It is the best way to learn real estate investing without spending money. There is an ebook on it at http://www.real-estate-investor-birddog.com

most people i read about are players in the game of real estate.the really good ones like trump started out in lease options.when you use a lease option, you are not buying the property.what your really doing is merely gaining control of the property.that does not mean that your going to eventually purchase it.it all depends on what type of option you are using, what exit strategies are,and how fast you can implement those exit strategies.an option simply means you,the investor, have an option to purchase a property for a specific price within a specific time period.
