Anybody hear recently that Alice in Chains is working on new material?

I almost had to pull over in my car because I heard it on the radio. I hope it'll be a nice mix of some hard rock along with some acoustic guitar songs. Also, name some of your favorite AIC songs. It's hard to pick, but 'Down in a hole' , 'Man in the box' and 'Got me wrong' are some slammin' tracks.

I did read that the members of Alice In Chains have started writing new material together. I'm excited about this but also worried. Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kenney, and Mike Inez are fantastic musicians with a great chemistry, and I know anything they do together will be worth hearing. At the same time, Alice In Chains is not Alice In Chains without Layne Staley. They shouldn't keep using the name, they should keep AIC's legacy as it is and just start fresh.

I completely have to agree that it is not AIC without Layne. Sure Jerry's voice still gives the songs a good sound but Layne is not replaceable in my opinion, I think they should get a new name. My OLD favorites are everything on SAP.

Maynard - extremely underrated voice Zach - He made Rage "Rage". Audioslave did no longer even come close. Jerry Cantrell - as much as i like Layne's voice, Cantrell replaced into the riff grasp and replaced right into a grasp at harmonies.
