I guess one would have to go back to the question of why is it that people watch American Idol in the first place. To be absolutely honest, I have NEVER watched a full season of the show. I saw the final episode--hey, I was forced to watch it--I work in a public venue--and the customers, workers, etc. wanted to see who won. She is not a bad singer. .. I have heard much worse. .she is young and attractive (American staples in music these days) --and her looks will get the pre-pubes to purchase her CD. To answer your question-- Keep in mind that 'America' voted her as their Idol. .and there you have it. No further comment necessary.

FINALLY! someone who agrees that sasquatch stinks!! She was a waste of space on the show and so over rated
Blake should of won, his stage presence and being unique is what brought him so far in the competition.
Jordin was just boring and couldnt perform if her life depended on it!
People are gonna be disappointed when her career goes ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE and Blake is a superstar!

They really have hit the bottom of the barrel. I thought it was hilarious that Sanjaya actually had a decent chance to stay around for so long. Are you kidding??? As a music teacher and a professional performer, I can't watch that joke.

She's ok. I mean shes' a good singer but I'm waiting to see what kind of music she decides to sing and the songs but I'm really wanting to see Blake get a contract I like him a little bit better.

Um... she is just unoriginal. That is why HOTTIE Blake is beating her on iTunes. She doesn't come across as a fun, spunky new artist, to me anyway. I feel like we have a million people who sing just like her. She has a great voice, but it doesn't make me go WOW when I listen to it. Blake lacked a very powerful voice too, but made up for it in performance.
So, I don't like her, I bet she is nice, she just doesn't come across on tv that way.

...and she's a LIAR too.
claiming in the AI competition she had "no formal voice training" and then her voice teacher from her earlier years comes forward and says she was offended by Jordin Sparks' claim because she had indeed had some voice training.
