Be bubbly-- but not obnoxious. I hate to say it but lot of older people that work in the clerical field (possibly because they have been doing it all of their life and are tired of it) can be a little miserable. What you need to do is go in there with a smile on your face, be enthusiastic about what you are saying and say the magic words, "advancement opportunities." What this says to a potential employer is that you plan on sticking around for a while-- just because you are young doesn't mean you want to hop around from job to job. Good luck!

Your goal should be that the interviewer finds your age to be non-significant. Don't worry about proving that being younger is somehow positive. Use your experience to the best advantage. And most importantly, make sure that you come off as mature, competent, and motivated.

Being young can be an advantage because you are not yet set in your ways. You can be molded to whatever standards and practices exist in this new workplace with little to no resistance. Older candidates may have more experience, but they may be more difficult to integrate into the team.

Act...
1) Mature
2) Experinenced
3) Responsible
4) Respectful
5) Professinal
But also...
1) Young
2) Fresh
3) Encouraging
4) Caring
5) Open-Minded
People want to hire people who will respect them, keep track of things, talk and dress appropriately. care about customers or visitors, etc. But they also don't want to hire a bunch of old geezers un-capible of doing their job right. Use your young fresh persona to win your future boss over...good luck!

Here, we are opposites. I am experienced but I'm older Your employee may find either to be a handicap. Maintain pleasant eye contact that says that if you don't employ me - it's your mistake. Your prejudice has nothing to do with how I can contribute to your company or organization.

well .. age is not the factor in many jobs ... but be positive, confident and brave. look at it this way ... you are fresh, bubbling with new ideas and thoughts, you can change things for better and you have lot more energy! go for it!
