I have been dating a guy for over a year. I love him so incredibly much. For some reason I just don't want to have sex. I am very attracted to him and I don't want this to ruin our relationship. PLEASE HELP. What can I do to heighten my sex drive?
My Dr. put me on Lamictal, my sister and I have searched for side effects and come up with nothing about sex drive.

Why did your doc. put you on Lamictal, it's Psychotropic drug.
Are you depressed?
Ask yourself what changed for you, that you stopped wanting to have sex with him. I would go & get a complete physical & have your thyroid checked out.

Actually, it's normal to lose your sex drive after you've been with someone a year or more. At that point in the relationship the first sparks have died down (not anyone's fault, of course), and there are different hormones surging your system now. These don't give you the same reaction as the ones you would get in the first six months or year; these are more focused toward growing as a person and in the relationship, growing closer to your partner.

As for the diminished sex drive, ask yourself why you don't want to have sex with him. Are you stressed out at work or with another aspect of your life? Sometimes just asking yourself (and being HONEST) is all you need to kick start your libido. Worked for me.

Well there could be a few things causing this. If you are stressed, overly tired, not getting good nutrition, and so forth could affect your sex drive.
Another thing you have to ask yourself after being with someone for so long......are you bored with sex? Be honest with yourself, if the thought of doing the same old thing every time you get into bed bores you, then mix it up. Try anything and everything!!! As silly as it sounds, go to the bookstore and find a good sex book and pick out things that look interesting or fun and try them. Or explore sex shops for toys and new fetishes. I'm sure that bringing up new things with your man is just as exciting for him as it is for you.
Hopefully you can find that spark again. Good Luck and I hope this helps.
