Very good question. Time is unique from Space, Matter and Energy, so it is not the same as these. Assuming one accepts the existence of God, then His creation must reflect something about Him, right? If one does not accept His existence, then they are left to wrestle with from where these things have originated. The authors of several books contained in the Bible say time was a creation of God: Gen 1:1, John 1:1, 2 Tim 1:9 and Heb. 11:3.
No one human culture "invented" time - they simply thought of ways to measure it. It would be like saying Newton invented Gravity. Anyway, if I create a piece of art, build a home, or write a book, it would tell you something about my personality and how I think. I suggest that time has to be a reflection of God's "mind" and thus his personality. Time is a required thing once space and matter were created, since it is the way distance and movements are measured, so one could suppose that the reason God created anything is really the core "take" on His personality. The Bible, and even logic, suggest He wanted to interact with His creation and have it reflect His glory. Another interesting take was whether Jesus, who as God entering His creation, was subject to the laws of time. It would seem He was, since He was born, grew older, and had an "appointed time" to get His mission done by.
There is a great book on this subject written by William Lane Craig and called Time and Eternity: Exploring God's Relationship to Time. It is published by Wheaton.
Super question!

Interesting question. Personality trait is an awkward application and I consider it more along the lines as His names, like He is everlasting, the beginning and the end, He is outside of time, etc. As for personality traits, he is forgiving but jealous, loving. If we put it in a resume it would read: has great leadership skills, can multi-task, is punctual, stays at work late to get the job done, willing to take on other people's problems and is an awesome problem-solver, friendly and outgoing but also a good listener, is an excelllent CEO, has a lot of great references, very involved in the community and is open all night. (lol)

Cosmology (the study of the creation of the Universe) and the Western concept of God are converging.
God is all powerful and created everything. Before God there was nothing, but God always was. That is there was no time without God.
The universe was created at the big bang. Before that was nothing, there was no before the start, because there was no time.
So if we take a cosmological view of God, he posseses
Time
Matter
Self creation
And likes to play dice (it is Einstien's comment on Quantum Physics)
God doesn't posses
Love
Happiness
But when God was created his opposite was created. When the universe was created, matter and antimatter were created, but a little more matter was created than antimatter...which means we live in a matter universe.
GOd is not good, but simply more powerful than the Devil
These are my views, if you want more physics on this read "The mind of God" by Paul Davis, a British born, Australian based cosmologist

Hello:
As another poster said, time is not a personality trait of God's. Time is a consequence of motion and energy states in the universe. If all energy states achieved a natural equilibrium and all acceleration ceased to exist time would also cease to exist. There would be a steady-state condition of zero change. Time exists because of the four forces of nature at the subatomic level, and the dynamics of those forces exerted on all bodies by all bodies.
God himself is timeless, at least in a Christian teaching. The Bible explains in several places that God is not bound by time. Since it explains that He created the physical universe, then time could be a creation of His. However, keep in mind that the story of the fall of man explains that the whole earth was affected by Adam's choice. It is my personal belief that the laws of thermodynamics, and the "natural" decay of energy states, as we understand them today, may have been influenced by that fall. In our origin, we were not supposed to die. But death is a consequence of the fall. Paul tells us that the whole of creation groans for its condition to be corrected. The context is usually discussed in terms of sin and the fall of mankind...
Cheers!

Time has nothing to do with his personality. Time is an obsticle that God created for us all to overcome. Through the passage of time we must learn patience. Without time nothing would exist. The actually breakdown of time is mans doing....the hours, minutes, and seconds. God created the sun and the moon merely to help us determine day and night.
As for Gods personality traits...I would say that he is ultimately the good we strive to be:
He is forgiving, gracious, loving, selfless, patient, kind....etc., etc.
In this instance I would suggest you google the fruits of the spirit. That is what he asks for us to have so ultimately he must already possess them. Hope this answers your question!!!

Not isn't, Time was perhaps the most pernicious force, before Evil came to the picture, although the danger the forces of time will represent for God, will allow HIM, to create, develop and achieved his own time, we do leave in his time, and that make it even more difficult for our own material senses, to perceived HIM(God).
In time there isn't essences, time only rules the Substances, and now a day's in God's own time, in the life of peoples in this material existence.
Better this time that not time at all, that in the emptiness of Space that with not time, or without time, God will need to be, and stand to create the World.
The essences, can be best described as a trait mark, with-in God(HIM), own "personality's", now a day's.

God is real but God does not know time. A day is like a thousand years to him. It says so in the Bible... Psalms 90:4

God is not a person and time is perceptual and conceptual. When we encounter 'reality shifts' we are experiencing that time is bound to our experience of reality. Reality reflects our learned beliefs about self and the world. If we detach from them, even accidentally or momentarily, we enter the now (the only aspect of time that is eternally present.) In eternity or timelessness reality shifts to accommodate pure intention/desire. The absence of time connects us to the power inherent in "being/having."

Time is the same thing as Space. Trying to imagine or definie the traits of God is a waste of time and therefore abhorrent to Him.
