Do we still want it as much as we did before we tasted it?

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory once a need is fulfilled it is no longer a motivator.

For example, if you promise to sleep with me if I paint your house, and then sleep with me first, I am no longer motivated to paint your house even if you promise to sleep with me after I paint your house.

Oh wait, yes I am. OK. Bad example.

If I am hungry and you offer me a pizza to sleep with you...
no, that doesn't work either cause I'd do it without the pizza.

OK. I'm hungry and I eat until I'm stuffed. Then you say "I am going to cover my naked body with pizza and you can lick it off" I will not want...oh, never mind!

What was the question?

Sometimes but to be "comfortable numb" with that taste, can also "backfire" on us because we got so used to it and don't want to see the reality!

Rarely, because it is no longer a mystery to us, so the excitement and wonder of it is gone.
