Still bad this year. Both are young and need to learn the pro game. Give it a few years and if they dont get hurt they will be a much improved team.

Well since Brady Quinn is a rookie QB and has been throwing wobblers in practice
Don't expect anything too positive out of him this year
I don't think he'll even start till mid-season
---
Joe Thomas should be a good player, but who do they have for playmakers?
Jamal Lewis had surgery and said he can finally make the cuts that he hasn't been able to for 2 years... So we'll see if that is just a big load or if he can actually return to his olden days
Braylon Edwards needs to step up as a WR and along with Joe Jurevicius... Kellen Winslow needs to stay healthy cuz he is one of the best TEs in the game!
Behind them they have absolutely no depth, so they need to stay healthy if they even wanna have a chance at a few wins
---
On defense Kamerion Wibley had a remarkable rookie year (seems like all outside 3-4 linebackers do, cuz it's so easy to get sacks)
Willie McGinest is no spring chicken anymore
Andra Davis is a very solid player
but besides them they don't even have anybody close to a star
---
Bottom line is:
Cleveland had the 31st ranked offense last year and the 26th ranked defense
They add Brady Quinn who is a devlopment project and Joe Thomas who although may be a landmark on that o-line for years isn't gonna win them games this year...
---
5-11 seems like all they are going to accomplish this year
They are clearly in rebuilding mode and it could take about 2 years before they ever make any noise

They've fixed their offensive problems and adressed some other important needs but i don't see any start players that can play against the great teams like the pats, chargers, colts, and bears. I don't even see them beating above average teams like the panthers, steelers, and jets. They have made there team good enough to easily beat teams like the raiders, but they havn't added any really good players besides Jamal Lewis. Joe and Brady are just rookies, and will take some time to adjust. The browns will be a bad team this year, my prediction...3-13, 2nd pick in the draft

7-9, because of outstanding defensive play. Leigh Bodden is one of the top unknown shutdown corners in the league. Sean Jones, safety from Georgia, had a fine year, and will be better. Kameron Wimberly will make an impact again. The two Smiths they brought in as free agents will toughen up a mediocre d-line. Offense,-left side of line will be solid. QB position is up in the air. I am really concerned Kellen Winslow will never regain his college form, and wait and see on Braylon. Jamal Lewis will have something left in the tank, and something to prove. Browns will still be in the bottom quarter offensively.

Joe Thomas will be a fixture on the offensive line for years to come. It's too bad that Quinn is the next Tim Couch.
They will be 8-8 or below.

don't pay attention to these answers of 8-8 or 9-7, i can't think of any time a team went over .500 with a rookie quarterback, they will not be very good.... 6 wins max but still probably giving them too much credit. they still finish last in the AFC North. They have began getting more talent on the team, but are still 2 years from playoff potential.

The Browns will be lucky to win six games. Brady Quinn is going to be a bust, he sucks. Joe Thomas is a fine football player, but I don't see him scoring many TD's. I don't see the Browns as a whole scoring too many TD's. You win by outscoring the opponent. The Browns are not going to do that too often this coming season.

Quinn is NFL ready, but I think that they will significantly better (remember they got Steinbach from Cincy & Jamal Lewis) so on attitude alone they will be better.
My prediction is 7 & 9 in '07
In '08 - maybe the playoffs!!!
