how it will work with vista home basic... ??... any tips?

You might need more RAM. The CPU is fine though.

Not very well in my opinion One way to find out is to go to Microsoft.com and look for the Vista upgrade utility and it will tell you. One other thing stay away from Vista at all costs, and if for some reason you have to have it then go with the Premium Edition. Make sure the rest of your components are up to date and you want a score of at least 4 to run Vista. One other thing make sure you back up all of your files beforehand and another thing DO NOT UPGRADE start from scratch with a clean install. For the ram stick with at least 1 gb but should use 2gb

Its recommened for Vista Basic to have 1GB of RAM(altho you can get away with 512 the performance is terrible) if your going to be gaming on the computer then go for 2GB upwards as Vista is a mega resource hog.

Quadruple the RAM.

Go to the MS page that has the "recommended" specifications for Vista and compare.

I wouldn't advice it
microsoft and other advice 2 GB ram

you hardly need a pro to answer that :p
