Your teacher isn't any more right than pastor Bob. And, I am sure they both think they are right. Maybe you could look at this way: God is all powerful. He created everything. He created man. If he wanted to do that from a monkey, he could. The people that wrote the Bible were not around when all that happened, so they don't know exactly how God did things. They did the best they could to understand it and then, they wrote it so we could know the story.

So, I would tell your teacher "you are welcome to believe what you want." Then you can know that your teacher is limiting the power of God. Preacher Bob may think the Bible says exactly how things happened. But people wrote the Bible and they did not always understand the meaning of things. So, in a way, your preacher may be in error or he may not. It doesn't matter because you will know that God is all powerful and He did things the way He wanted to regardless of what anyone says.

Take comfort my friend.

Your teacher isn't dumb. Scientific evidence points to the fact that man evolved from lower ape-like animals. Many people object to this because it contradicts the story of creation in Genesis, the first book of the Bible.

Many people believe in evolution yet still believe in God. They think that the creation story in Genesis is a beautiful allegory, but contrary to scientific fact. When you are older you might find some answers in the following references.

I read about a young girl who was in a similar situation. One day she went to school with a wood carving of a Cardinal. She just put it on her desk and said nothing. When her "dumb" teacher admired it and asked who made it her reply was "no one, it happened by accident" -- this is of course the same thing that the teacher would say about where Life began.

I suppose the teacher got an idea of how foolish their argument was about after hearing it themselves. :-)

Here is the thing that I think is most important. You have the right to learn that there are MANY theories out there. There is alot to learn and you have the right to learn it all so that later in your life, you can choose what YOU believe. Everyone should have the freedom to learn of all the maybes and might-bes and be allowed to form your own opinions and beliefs. You don't have to agree with it, but others shouldn't be deprived of learning it. Your teacher I'm sure knows all about both views, I wouldn't worry about it.

Teachers are required to teach evolution. You are not required to believe it. You pastor Bob is right. God created everything, including people. If you feel like you need to explain anything to your teacher then just say that you believe God created us.

I am sure that your teacher knows that some people believe that we are God's creation. That is why there is religion and evolution. You probably don't need to explain it to your teacher. Most people know there are different views.

Scientifically speakins, humans have evolved from monkeys. So, your teacher is right as far as science is concerned.
Religiously speaking, everything has been made by God.
So, both of them are right in their own sense.
You can't change anyone's opinion. So,agree with them both. Don't merge religion and studies.
You'll get confused.

NONSENSE............ Don't listen to anyone, because man kind still have a long way to figure out, where Haman's began. I use to listen to those CABBAGE in school & at church in my younger days. Now, I realise that the search is still going on on evolution & science. Waste of time, to educate smart people like you.
