I've been strict vegan almost 6 years and I've just accidently consumed roughly 130 grams of finely ground beef at a restaraunt. I'm experiencing severe stomach cramps and lethargy and burping and farting and I don't know what to do. The food is in my intestine by now, so it's probably too late to vomit it up, and it's too early for laxatives, and if I use pain killers it will constipate me further. What do I do?

i'd say take 3 advil/tylenol, and just relax. i think you should be ok, but to be on the safe side you should call your doctor and ask him/her what they think should be done further. if you think its already in the intestine, then all you should have to do is wait until it comes out. and if by then you still arent feeling right, then definitely need to take that to your doctor or the ER. good luck, and hope you feel better.

Your body is not used to digesting meat any more and the reaction between the meat and the vegies is causing this.
It takes usualy 24 hours for the food to go through you so all will be ok by then, it is only the gas which is hurting you.
I'm Currious though, How can you accidently eat 130 grams of meat, It is about the same as accidentaly drinking 250ml from a bottle clearly marked poison?????

Get yourself tablets from the pharmacist (like buscopan) it will relieve the spasm that your stomache and intestines are experiencing and relieve the pain. The reason this happened...you haven't consumed this type of protein in a long time it no longer produces sufficient stomach acid to deal with this kind of protein...therefore the cramps. take the tablets...it will ease up, and nature will take it's course...next time be more watchfull for what you eat...if you haven't had meat protein in a long time you should re-introduce it slowly if you're planning on consuming meat again.

"Medical EMERGENCY" was a little ambitious don't you think. If you take prescription pain killers, yes, it will constipate you, or at least delay the offenders expulsion somewhat. Not sure why you've deemed it 'too early for laxatives.' Just wait it out and be more careful going forward.

That is not an emergency. If a real one occurs, call 911. Otherwise, wait this out.

Bear with it. In about two days the body will eliminate it. Be careful from now on.

You got what you deserve.

Your vegan diet is absolutely ridiculous and unnatural. Wise up and start eating meat, that way you won't run into this problem again.

Deal with it. This is hardly an emergency - just be more careful next time.

i think your body is just reacting to the food cause it hasnt seen it in a while. give it a day or two and let it pass.

take some gasex and light a match...you just irritated your stomach with something 'foreign' to it. It will go away.
