Is yhelper_affiliates yahoo? If so why did they send me that? I IMd back with no answer. Please tell me I am really wondering why this happend. A bug maybe? Thank you all!!

The user name concerned does not work for Yahoo.
This is a spam account which I suggest you block.
All Yahoo Staff Members have a Green [ Y! ] Badge associated to the accounts, this can be used to determine if the account belongs to Yahoo Staff.
I should also inform you that Yahoo Staff generally make contact via your email address and never ask for personal details.

Just to play it safe, run a Virus scan, and then block the ID from your IM if you don't want to chat with him/her/it.
As for it being a Yahoo corporate ID...no.

It is not someone from yahoo: it is someone using Yahoo's name so that you'll talk to them.
It's just some pervert trying to flirt with you. Block him and forget about him.
If the problem persists, then contact your IM provider and they should be able to block his IP address.
