I just bought an Epson Photo R380.

It's compatible with Windows 98; Me; XP; Vista.

My reason for going with the Epson was based upon the cost of replacement cartridges.

I used Consumer Reports for background info on the various printers and went from there. The R380 scored 82 points with a Cannon model with highest score at 85 points but the cartridge costs on the Cannon were outrageous. About $30 for black. Color cartridges were about the same.

I use http://www.imarketcity for buying my cartridges. The R380 uses 6 cartridges. At Epson and Staples they are $16 apiece ($96 for a full set) and at IMarketCity they were $4.95 each for non-Epson cartridges.

Check out the Epsons you may find them the most economical over the life of the printer.

Hope this helps.
