There isn't anything wrong with being nice. Many people are. They just get lost amongst the louder more aggressive people.
Some people never seem to grow out of it. I don't think being rude is cool. Just obnoxious!

Who said being rude means being cool? I hate people who are rude. Many people don't stick to rude ones. They are the people who can't do anything right with their lives.

Sometimes rudeness is all many people understand. Being nice just gets your time wasted by idiots. You don't grow out of it. In fact, as you get older you tolerate fools less. Time is too valuable commodity to squander pandering to the deluded, pathetic and lazy.

I never thought it was cool to be rude. I was born with a kind and compassionate nature. I don't understand what would make someone happy, about making someone else feel so bad...

truely, i dont know why people are like that. people who are rude and inconsiderate are for the most part just self-conscious of themselves. try being extra nice to them and show them that they dont have to be rude to you because your a nice individual. if that doesnt work, i would personally not deal with that person anymore. everyones life has quite enough drama. we dont need anyone else adding theirs onto ours.

With some members of our current society, niceness is construed to indicate fear of someone else. This is especially true with our "gangbanger" society. The feeling is "he is being nice to me (or polite) therefore he must be afraid of me."

showing that you're nice makes you seem vulnerable and easy to pick on.
yes, eventually they should grow out of it. if they don't, well that's a different story.
