Sometimes stripping the membranes does not bring on labor for some women. You might have to wait a little longer or maybe go in to be induced. Maybe you could take a brisk walk or something else active to encourage labor to start.
Best of luck!

Even if you're 4cm, and even if they stripped your membranes, yes, its possible you haven't went into full blown labor and that you're still pregnant!
I was 4-5cm and 90% effaced, walking around like that for weeks, Dr. swept my membranes twice. Nothing.
I know its the worlds worst answer, but, the baby will either come when its ready, or when the Dr. decides to induce. Its really tough waiting for that time, but thats all it is, is a long waiting game.
Best wishes!

No not really the baby will either come when it's ready or they will induce you. Just cause you lose the mucus plug doesn't mean that it will be soon. A lot of people lose it at 6 months but it just regrows in two weeks. I asked my doctor about the mucus plug.

why did they do thatthen send you home? Are you not at your due date? If you are not at your due date then they may want you to go longer. YOu can stay dialted a 4cm for a while. if you are not at your due date then it can take up to yur due date before they will induce it.
