Probably cause we don't want you thinking we're weird or stalking you. And most of them are just too shy to approach the woman.

Well, they (or rather we, if I include myself!) find something attractive in you or they may be lonely but at the same time, they also are conscious of your right to privacy and it is considered rude to stare at some one, so we turn our eyes away from you to avoid embarrasment to you and to us. So, if you catch a guy or guys looking at you, feel complimented that you are projecting an attractive persona (or you are totally out of sync with your setting and are sticking out!)

Because alot of men, even though they try to portray otherwise by acting tough, lack confidence and self-esteem in possibly approaching a woman they are attracted to.

plz note this is simply my opinion, they don't want u to know that they know u were 'checking them out' cuz once u 2 make that eye contact, at times, some1 usually turns away. major macho ego: he wants u to keep looking mr bashful: embrasassed attached: doesn't want gf to catch him checking out another girl as the boys become older and HOPEFULLY wiser, the reasons should become better :)

Because, believe it or not, most guys are nice and we don't want to be told, "what are you looking at?"
We look away b/c we're shy, even those of us who aren't shy in general.
Catch us looking away and we think you are very pretty, trust me.

They obviously are embarrased and don't want to get caught looking, staring or quawking...the fear?...embarrassment and not 'being a man'...

well because we dont want u to think we are pervs . ok what would u like us to do when we see a atractive female? not look . sometimes we are married and all we can do is look .
