Of course it does. Where do you think most of the weathly get their money anyway? It is from all their oil investments, so they will not complain near as much. Just be looking for more record breaking profits reported by major oil companies and watch the rich get richer.

Generally speaking, higher priced ANYTHING hurts the poor more than the wealthy. If you have the money, then the prices don't matter as much. Common sense.

That is a dumba@@ question. Of course it does but so what anytime prices go up on anything it hurts the poor more. What is your point?

Certainly, it does both directly and indirectly through increased prices of food and every other item that must travel by truck, which of course is every item we use.
