A small percentage of cars and SUV's come with factory tinted windows. Typically a very light transmission in the glass. Many SUV's have that darker factory tint around the rear side windows.

The majority of cars come clear glass and are often Pre-Loaded with a window film done by a local tinter or in-house. You should ask where the film was done and who did it.

On the cost. .figure around $150-250 for a mid range quality car film like LLumar find the nearest dealer at http://www.llumar.com

For a higher end film -Ceramic non metallic find a Formulaone Dealer at Http://www.formulaone.com

tint only becmoes illegal once its totally black, so no one can identify you from any point of view. So if all your windows have +5/-5 tint (limo tint) no once can see ****, so its illegal, but its okay as long as your front window doesn't have a tint that strong. im pretty sure thats how it goes, if i recall correctly. b/c my friend has limo tint on the back window, and he never told me about any fix-it tickets or anything regarding his tint. but lets assume the tint is illegal, im thinking that you should buy the car, then get a ticket, then sue the dealership to ruin their rep. you can always say in court in defense, that you didn't know it was illegal to have a tint that dark. just ask the dealer, and if he says NO, and you get caught, just blame it on the dealer! bastards!
