I think the best quote I ever heard to describe playoff hockey was "It isn't a series until the road team wins a game" I can't remember who said it, but I think it is very true. So I think the Sens definately still have a change, I know that Alfredsson touched the Prince of Wales trophy which is bad karma, but Yzerman picked up the Campbel bowl in 2002 and the Wings won the cup that year....

Mr. Taco makes a great point. they've had too easy of a road. not taking away their wins. those were good wins. and the teams they beat were good (enough). but they haven't seen a team like the Ducks all year. the ducks knew they'd face either SJ or the Wings, both tough teams. plus the Ducks have been to the finals before and don't wanna feel the grief of exiting w/o the Cup. The Sens don't either, but they've already surpassed expectations. Throw in the Cup as a nice-to-have. i.e. the Ducks want it more.

a wise man said, "the definition of insanity is ... doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". i think the Sens need to change their style and figure out the Ducks defense on both sides of the ice (backchecking and forechecking), or else the results will be the same.

The Ducks are not winning by accident. they've learned to play good defense. and making the best of the opportunities that the other teams have given them. they will be tough to beat. If the Sens can make this into a 6 game series, they should consider that an accomplishment.

btw, no hatred towards the Sens. i'm actually glad to see a "Canadian" team in the finals. i just think the Ducks will win, and i've said that as soon as we knew who was going to the finals.

Down two games to none and having played rather poorly, I have to say yes, I think they will lose. That said, it is not too late to turn it around. They have two games at home now. They need to win both of them. Then anything can happen. The Sens' problem is that they had too easy of a road to get here. They simply were not prepared for a team as hard-working and talented as the Ducks. Doesn't mean they can't get their act together, but it's a tough road up from 2-0.

I don't think so I think that Anaheim's penalties and Ottawa's first line is enough for them to take the cup. I think the Spezza-Heatley-Alfreddson line will probably end up splitting up to make themselves harder to defend. They are a talented team riding on the back of the hottest goalie around right now. We will see but I think Ottawa in 6

Remember in 2003 when the devilsn took a 2-0 series lead @ home, then going back to anaheim, the ducks won 2 straight at home then the devs won game 5, the ducks back at home tie the series and it goes 7.

Devils win the cup!!!

Ottawa is showin no intensity, not creating chances, and playing like they are happy to be there.

Anaheim is playing the style of hockey that works in the NHL.

Ottawa is pretty much done!

No way, there are still 5 games left and Ottawa can definitely pull this one off!

GO SENS GO!

It doesn't look good. 29 of the 30 teams to drop the first two games eventually lost the Cup, with the only team winning being way back in the 70's.

There's still a good chance they could regain their composure, but that depends entirely on the Sens.
