I'm a girl of 14 and have hair all over my back, stomach, chest and even face. It isn't that thick but it is dark and noticable. I doubt my mother will let me go to the doctors for this problem. Please help?

Hirutism is a sign of polycistic ovarian disorder...
Besides having the abnormal facial and body hair as you do, do you have any other symptoms such as menstrual problems, acne, excessive weight gain, obesity, irregular periods????If so then you need to tell your mother it's time to see a doctor...
If you leave PCOS (polycistic ovarian disorder) untreated it can get worse and possibly cause other problems..You need to be having a period at least every three months if your not already..
If you have any of the symptoms mentioned above i would suggest talking to your mother about seeing a doctor and getting on birth control..The birth control can lessen the symptoms you have such as the facial and body hair, the acne, the weight gain and it will regulate your periods...

If you have any more questions or would like to talk more about this disorder just send me an email..:)

It could be your families nationality. In Certain areas of the world, women do have more hair than in others.

I think (this is not an absolute) that the Mediterranean countries this is more common.

You ned to check your family. My husband's family is hairy too and my daughter got the gene. Try plucking, laser and electrolysis for the noticeable areas.

Massage regularly against hair-growth direction will help though it will take time. It will be a good idea to get check-up by endocrino.

Could also be that something is causing a hormone imbalance, which could cause unwanted hair.
