I am with SBC Yahoo now and I use 2Wire wirless modem. I am going to switch to Time warner cable internet and I wonder if it is possible to use the same modem for it or I have to buy a new one.

Most of the 2Wire systems are DSL modems/routers. They have a phone line plug for the WAN (Inetnet) if that is the case.. you will have to get a new modem for the cable system.. Most cable systems will supply a modem if you don't have one.

I always use seperate modems and routers.. they are more universal in nature.. if you change carriers you keep the router, change the modem.

you are able to disable DHCP on the 2wire, then connect the cable router to between the 2wire's LAN jacks. That converts the 2wire right into a on the spot get right of entry to factor. you may no longer could reinstall something considering you may no longer have put in something interior the 1st place. Hi naifittos,

Time Warner is changing to Comcast at least in Minnesota they did.
Just go get a D-link that you can plug wires into it & then play any online games. My grandson plays Socom3 online via the television we never have had any problems, this also plugs into the internet. Have a good day. :0)
