When im go to america is was wonderin if its any cheaper to buy a mac in the usa than it is over here. what will i need to run ie power cables etc.

Price is almost the same everywhere and maybe you will save 10 or 20 bucks max cause in USA you need to add the tax always to the price tag.
I prefer buying the mac from the states because of the extended warantee they offer which is rare to find in other parts of the world like the middle east for example.
The power is good for anywhere in the world and you can use a universal plug where ever you want.

You didn't say where you live, so I'm assuming it's not Canada.

Do yourself a huge favour and buy your new Mac locally. Warranty issues, tech support and AC power are the biggest reasons to buy at home.
