Everyone would freak. And loot and pillage and rape and burn. Not trying to be negative, but if a global crisis happened I don't believe the people of the world will unite.
I believe it would just be worse than ever.
Countries would be fighting over the pieces of land that were ok, and the resources that they could seize as theirs.
