How would you quiet-down a Noisy Modem Tower?

Stands free under a desk/w dusty carpet fibers? How can I cut down a % of the continuous Hummm'; sound effects..?

these are probably caused by the fans needing cleaned.take the side off the puter shut it down and blow it out with canned air also vaccume out the heavy dust from the processor fan and the power supply fan. this should help if not the fan making the noise is probably needing replaced.
