Try ERD commander.
Is it windows xp? If so, you can try logon locally with the local admin.
If this fails, then boot with a NTFS dos disk, copy the repair folder. Use something like l0phtcrack to crack the local password.

Your best solution is not to waste time trying to get the password but to just install Linux over the top of it ;-)

That's right, ask the network admin to change it on the server. If you can't find him, try logging on with your user account.
