Honestly, I don't care for Rosie nor her former co-worker Elizabeth Hasselbeck. That said, O'Donnell pushed and pushed and pushed until Hasselbeck fought back. Once she did, Rosie threw in the towel.

I realize that O'Donnell was scheduled to leave 'The View' in a month, but do you feel that because someone finally stood up to her, that she tucked her tail between her legs and ran while she could?

No.

I think she pushed the issue in order to have the (very heated) exchange as an excuse to leave. OR that she arranged that blow-up with Barbara in order to attract more viewers.

Does anyone actually WATCH The View if there isn't a fight going on?

I have absolutely nothing against gays or celebrities, even most loudmouths. But my response in that situation would have been similar...if you are going to take a very public stand on anything, have the balls to stand up for your OWN convictions. I never say anything that I am not willing to support!

They should both go on "Dr. Phil", where he would inform Rosie that she was fighting unfairly - name calling is prohibited, and she called Hasselbeck a "coward". I think it takes a great deal of courage to say what you think when the majority is against you. I also think that it takes guts to go on TV day after day and show your self to "the world". What Rosie said made us think, but it made me think that it was time for her to be quiet! That said, Rosie does a LOT of charity work for children - she's strange, but because of her charity work I won't/can't completely condemn her.

Rosie gives liberals a bad name. I don't care that she's gay. I do care that she calls our troops cowards and claims the U.S. caused 9/11. It wasn't so much that Elizabeth was fighting with Rosie. Elizabeth was sick of our country being bashed by a woman who has benefited from all our great country has to offer.

yeah. I used to like her when she was on her own show, but over the last few years she has just turned into the most hated woman alive. And she reminds me a lot of donald trump, and don't even get me started on him!!

She had schedule to leave the show before the arguement/disussion happened. She did not have her contract renewed for the series.

I think so. I don't like or dislike EH. However, I have always seen her act in a polite and civilized manner. I admire her for sticking up for herself. Whether you agree with her opinions or not, she is entitled to have them and it is great that she stuck up for herself.
