Ok what about pre sales and post sales support head? what is the requirement then? What should one learn or need to know

I really don't know why any field would be inappropriate for a female. Two of the best Network Engineers I know are female (I am defining Network Engineer here as router/switch type) - but I have met plenty of women in all aspects of IT and seen them perform well. I am not sure of why you are asking the question - if it stems from IT being a male dominated industry (at least here in the States it is), I think that is exactly why there are not more women ... it's male dominated and they would rather work somewhere a little more balanced - I know I would!

They all intergrate with one another in a business world, LAN and Email would be the first choice (assuming you meant Exchange or Notes)
