What are the pros and cons?

Pros - incredible medical benefits, including cures that might be impossible otherwise. Also, a form of reproduction that might not be available to some couples any other way.
Cons - human beings can and will find ways to abuse this. The technology itself is not evil, but some of the applications of it might be.

Cons: Besides the whole religious upheaval against it, there are corrupt people who if they got controll of cloning there would be no stopping them (they would be able to do anything they want). Also cloning a human brain is extremely difficult because of our brain capacity.
Pros: You could live forever (not worth the risk), cloning some things like embryos is good for health purposes.
Cloning people should not happen becuase of the extreme dangers involved if it anythign were to go wrong, these dangers would threaten humankind and possibly make us extinct.

Watch the movie The Island and then see what you think the cons for cloning humans might be. It is a good move and will give you a lot of insight one the cons of cloning.

well im sure they would have to start off a fetus and grow just like a normal human, you wont be able to clone a 30 yr old man, and get a 30 yr old man. the only con you would have from it is, emotional and religious protestors. if we could actually do this, then it would really help us out. but they ban stuff like this and stemcell research because of who? yeah you got it right. christians
