On 96 Chrysler Sebring convertible, where are the tops of the rear struts? I have trunk torn apart and cant?

I have trunk torn apart and cant locate them anywhere. IIt seems like they are in the proximity of the inside of the convertible top. I cant see a thing, or can I feel anything that resembles the description at Auto Zone repair pages. HELP!!!!

They are under the rear seat area ~~

Pull the bottom of the rear seat then pull the back of the rear seat and you should find them.
