it depends.. if you want the easy way out{ like me :) } choose antacids analysis for chemistry and array operations for cs... challenging ones(if you have the time) chemistry : biofuels, superconductors(for this particular project you may enlist the help of a nearby college or iit for achieving subzero conditions. my friends did it, and the experience was awesome). cs : try making ur own compiler or chess game(note that the chess logic involves certain higher elements of logic & programming , but possible at the school level). I'm not sure about chemistry, but for computer science maybe you could try doing artificial intelligence. You could consider topics such as pathfinding and collision avoidance etc.
