I want to send a file from my Sony Ericsson W800i, to my XP laptop, via infrared. Just that I do not know how to send my file.

I know how to send the file from my phone, but XP does not seem to recieve it.

I have looked in Control Panel (Wireless Link), set the default folders, yet, I cannot send the file.

Help! Do I need extra software? Is there something I am not doing right?

I have alsto tried downloading the drivers for my laptop, no luck

Your XP or computer needs a infrared receiver , you are better off using blue tooth or the cable that came with the phone.
