Fame is an overrated thing. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. Publicity nags at you, the poparatzzi hits you everytime you walk outside without make-up on.
I think more people would become famous if they stoped trying so hard. If they worked at their talent, rather than just annoy the world with their constant partying and wining.
If you still want to be famous, despite my good judgement, then get an agent. Work on your talent; and learn to take rejection well; extremely well. It may be too overwhelming for you, so make sure you have a back-up career in mind, because the chance of people making it are slim to none.
Some people are just born great, others have it trust upon them later in life; which one are you?

People nowadays think that the word 'famous' means being very very popular. And many think that they become famous when they're rich, attractive and full of talents.
But for me, by becoming famous is by becoming true to yourself and to others. Many people nowadays became famous because they're being true to what they are and not by becoming let's say... plastic (only few people could think of that nowadays). You cannot jump to fame in a snap !(from one place to another), achieving your goal(s) in life and becoming famous takes time. Just be true and have fun with your life's journey towards your succes. :)

Come up with an innovative idea, do something with it, and try to find some good publicity for it.
Think of the guy who traded a red paper clip for a house. Regular guy, creative idea.
It doesn't have to be acting/theatre related to get media attention. Then, once you're there having used your innovative idea... grab the opportunities that arise.
